​If you care for someone in Scotland there is lots of help available, whether that is advice and information on finance, information on health conditions, or support for your mental well being. Watch our short video to find out more.

Information about care

If you have questions about care, Care information Scotland can help. This website can help answer questions about how to get care services, your rights as a carer and information about money among other things. They also run a web chat and helpline to help you find the information you need and answer your questions. The helpine number is 0800 011 3200 and runs Mon to Fri, 8am to 10pm Sat and Sun, 9am to 5pm.

​Mental wellbeing

Being a carer can bring its own pressures and strains. If you are struggling or need someone to talk to Breathing Space offer a free helpline where you can start to take the first step in getting help by talking to someone.

NHS inform also has lots of useful advice and information on looking after your mental health. Visit NHS inform for more information on mental wellbeing and what you can do to look after yourself.
