Mental health

The statistics around men's mental health and wellbeing are shocking. Three quarters of suicides are men, and poor mental health leads to half a million men taking their own life every year.

If you or someone you know is struggling with something there are many ways to get help. NHS inform's mental wellbeing pages give great advice on dealing with low mood, anxiety, phobias, stress and where you can get help.

If you need to talk to someone try calling Breathing Space. Breathing Space is a free and confidential phone service for anyone in Scotland feeling low, depressed or anxious.

Get moving

One of the many ways you can get involved in this year's Movember campaign is the 30 day Move for Movember fitness challenge. Anyone can join in, just set a distance goal that challenges you, and then walk, run, cycle, swim or row towards it.

You can take part on your own or as part of a team, it’s not about being the fittest or the fastest, it’s about having fun, getting active and raising funds along the way.
