Do

  • remember that there’s no right way to grieve
  • try not to feel guilty if you’re not grieving in the same way as others
  • keep in mind what the person you have lost would have wanted

Find support for grief

The Samaritans and Cruse Scotland have created Facing the Future, support groups for people bereaved by suicide.

SAMH have created a range of resources to support people affected by suicide.

Visit Surviving Suicidal Thoughts to hear from people who’ve experienced suicidal thoughts and come out the other side.

Contact your GP practice if:

  • you want to speak to someone about your mental health
