Food Train
Food Train is a Scottish Registered Charity offering a range of services, provided by volunteers, to support older people in Scotland. Services include grocery shopping and home deliveries(Food Train Shopping) and, household support (Food Train at Home) , befriending (Food Train Friends), outreach library provision and reading (Food Train Library) and neighbourhood meal sharing (Food Train Meal Making).

Food train services are available to anyone over the age of 65 living in a Food Train area.
Costs- Food Train Service
It costs £5 per delivery, which is paid alongside the cost of your shopping. There is a £1 annual membership to pay, which also entitles you to use any other service we have in your area.
Cost- Food Train at Home
Costs will vary depending on the size of your job and the time required to complete it. Jobs cost from £3 upwards and we will always advise you of the cost prior to commencement. There is a £1 annual membership to pay, which also entitles you to use any other service we have in your area.
Cost - Food Train Meal Maker
Anyone over the age of 55 who is living in Scotland can use the service. It costs £24 a year, which is paid alongside a £1 annual membership, totaling £25 per year to pay which entitles you to use any other Food Train service in your area.
