The whooping cough vaccine is offered during pregnancy to help protect your baby against whooping cough.
Each NHS Health Board in Scotland runs their vaccine programme differently. This is so they can deliver vaccines in the way that best suits local communities.
Speak to your midwife to find out how to get your whooping cough vaccine.
You may be offered other vaccines when pregnant. You may be able to get these at the same time as your whooping cough vaccine.

Unless you’re very unwell (for example with a fever, diarrhoea or vomiting), there’s no reason to delay the appointment.
