You’ll get support throughout your stop smoking journey usually up to around 12 weeks after your quit date. This can include 1 to 1 support as well support sessions where you’ll also get the support of other people stopping smoking at the same time as you.

In your following sessions, your adviser will:

  • check on your progress
  • provide encouragement
  • advise you on next steps
  • motivate you to quit and stay quit

Keeping track of progress

Each time you meet with your stop smoking adviser they’ll measure your carbon monoxide readings. This helps to show you the positive effects that stopping smoking is having on your body. Once you’ve stopped, you won’t be without support.
